Activity Directions for Invisible Maze:

The goal of the activity is to discover the secret path and get everyone through the Maze. This is done through a process of trial and error and team collaboration.

Once a group is briefed on the goal, one person at a time is allowed to be on the maze. They can begin by stepping on any one of the squares that is on the “entrance” side. If they are correct, they can continue to any square that is touching the one they are on. If they are incorrect (which can be indicated by a thumbs down, or a noisemaker), they must walk off the maze and the next person on the team may begin from the entrance square.

When someone is on the Maze everyone else must stay behind the entrance side. (Optional: If a group member is not on the Maze they can stand anywhere around the Maze.)

Group members are free to talk to each other during the activity.

The group may not use any form of high-tech or low-tech resources to track their progress. That includes drawing, taking pictures, or laying out objects on each correct square (i.e. the ‘Hansel and Gretel’ rule).

Once someone makes it safely through the Maze, they stay on the exit side to support other group members.

We recommend one Maze for every 6-10 people.

Another activity teams can solve is called Connections.

Set Up:
• Organize Teams into groups of 6 - 12 participants.
• Once organized, have teams gather around a pre-designed grid and give each
group access to the spot markers.
• Each grid will have two spot markers for each color represented. These
represent the spots that need to be connected.  To solve the puzzle participant must connect the two similarly colored spots with the spots of the same color without crossing other colors.

• Share with participants that this is a time cycle activity, meaning
participants will have a certain amount of time to complete the puzzle.
• Participants will have a planning time where they can discuss where they
think the trail markers will be placed.
• Share with participants that this can only be a discussion, and no placeholders can be added within the grid until time starts.
• When all participants are in consensus and roles have been determined, share with participants how much time they have to complete the puzzle.

One tarp, 3 Maze Cards, and one buzzer included.
