Team Fusion
Team Fusion is a team assessment tool and group challenge activity that encourages accurate communication and creative problem-solving, for groups of four to sixteen people, using skillfully hand-crafted materials.
The successful completion of the activity results with all ten chopsticks being inserted into the wooden block at exactly the same height. Through trial and error, each time a participant makes an attempt, they can place two chopsticks into the block or remove two chopsticks from the block. They cannot attempt to discern the depth of the holes in the block. They cannot remove one chopstick and replace it in another location. All communication during this activity is verbal. Participants are not allowed to write down any information or do digital transfer of information (by texting, social media, email, digital photographs, etc.).
The definition of the word fusion is the merging of diverse, distinct or separate elements into a unified whole (which sounds very similar to the process by which a group of individuals becomes a team).
